Questions & answers
Everything you were wondering.
The short version of how Faberr works — for the neighbors posting jobs and the craftsmen doing them.
The basics
Faberr is a simple way to connect people who need work done (Clients) with local skilled workers who can do it (Craftsmen). Post a job, chat with craftsmen who reach out, agree on the details, and get it done.
Not at all. Faberr has a warm, neighborly feel, but it works across any distance and any size of job — from a quick faucet fix to a full-weekend project, whether the craftsman is on your street or across town.
The app is free to download and use. Faberr connects you and builds trust through reviews — it isn’t a payment platform, so there are no service fees on the connection itself.
You and your craftsman agree on price and pay each other directly, off the app. Faberr stays out of the money so the two of you can settle things the way that suits you.
Faberr is available now on the App Store for iPhone. Just download it, create an account, and pick whether you’re here to hire, to work, or both.
For Clients
Tap Post a Job, pick a category, add a title, description and a few photos, then set your location and how urgent it is (ASAP, Flexible, or Scheduled). The moment it goes live, nearby craftsmen can see it and message you.
Almost anything: repairs, cleaning, outdoor & yard work, heavy lifting, installations — indoor or outdoor. If it doesn’t fit a category, there’s a Miscellaneous option for everything else.
Yes. As well as waiting for craftsmen to reach out, you can browse nearby craftsmen, filter by skill and availability, and message one directly (you’ll just need an active job to attach the chat to).
Each craftsman has a live available / busy status based on their weekly schedule. For urgent jobs you can see exactly who’s free at that moment.
Open the job and tap Mark as Complete. Faberr asks who did the work, you pick them, and you leave a review. They can then leave one for you in return.
For Craftsmen
Set up your Craftsman profile with your trade and skills. You’ll see nearby open jobs in your feed the moment they’re posted — tap one to view the details and message the client to offer your help.
You set a weekly schedule — the days you work and your hours each day. Your available / busy status then flips automatically as those hours begin and end. Taking time off? A pause switch marks you busy without touching your schedule.
Absolutely. One account can hold both roles. You pick a primary role when you sign up and can switch or add the other any time — the app adapts to whichever mode you’re in.
Do great work and collect great reviews. Your rating, completed-jobs count, and recent reviews all live on your profile, so a strong track record is what earns you the next job.
Trust & reviews
After a job is marked complete, the client reviews the craftsman, and the craftsman can review the client back. Both sides build a reputation, so trust runs in both directions.
No. If the same client reviews the same craftsman many times, only that reviewer’s most recent review counts toward the headline rating — so volume from one person can’t skew the score.
The reviews you received leave with you, but the reviews you wrote stay (anonymized). That way a craftsman’s hard-earned reputation is never erased just because a client leaves.
Your job’s full address is never shared automatically. Jobs show only an approximate area; if a craftsman needs the exact address, you share it yourself through the chat.
Account
If you hold both roles, a mode switch at the top of Settings flips you between Client and Craftsman. Single-role users can add the second role from Manage roles.
Yes. Account settings like your theme and notification choices are saved to your account, so they follow you to a new device. Only OS-level permissions (notifications, location, photos) reset on a fresh install.
In Settings → Notifications you can toggle each category of alert. Turning one off silences the interruption but still keeps a record in your in-app feed, so you never lose the history.
Head to Settings → Contact support in the app, or reach us any time from the Contact page.
